Lead in
Water
Lead in drinking
water is a significant
widespread health
concern for all
ages. Lead contamination
can occur in new
(i.e. some brass
plumbing fixtures
may legally contain
8% lead) and old
buildings. Consequently,
lead in water can
have due-diligence
and liability consequences
in every commercial
and residential
property.
Sampling and analysis
should determine
if soluble lead
is in the drinking
water supply above
the EPA action level
of 20 ppb for commercial
buildings or schools
and 15 ppb for residences.
